If you’re a kaiako or a careers advisor, you’ve come to the right place. This section was developed with you in mind and will highlight the key parts of the website that you can use as you go about supporting rangatahi to consider a career in health.

There are three key sections you should guide your students through or encourage them to check out for themselves:

Career Profiles is where students will get the opportunity to find out all the important stuff about a range of health careers eg. salary potential, training involved, study locations.

- The Secondary students section includes heaps of helpful information for secondary students, advising them of what’s out there to help them if they want to get into health. There’s a small section on What to Study, which covers Core Subjects and NCEA requirements. If you’re looking for something that can provide extra help for your learners, whether they’re studying level 1 to level 3 science subjects, the studyit website is full of useful resources.

-  The Personal Stories page is another key section for students, which provides a real perspective of health careers for Māori learners. Here students will see Māori health workers telling their engaging stories about working in hauora. Check them out yourself, then park the students up and get them to have a watch or a read.

Over time Kia Ora Hauora aims to develop a number of resources that will be useful for kaiako and career advisors when spreading the kaupapa of hauora careers among students, so keep an eye on this page.
